And so! After going through the much uncertainties and unpredictability of the global situation caused by COVID-19 pandemic, I have finally landed in South Korea successfullyðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Due to the pandemic, me and my fiancé had not been seeing each other for 2 years and the journey wasn't easy at all...a simple convene in which a normal couple often took for granted was something that we could only dream of. Waiting for the day of the reunion was painstakingly awful and challenging! Hence, I am really proud of myself to have ended this 10 years of long long long distance relationship in a GOOD way. Who says that all LDR need to lead to breakup?
Anyway, back to the topic! After obtaining the single status certificate in Malaysia, finally it's time for the registration of marriage! So do read on for those who are interested.
Bear in mind that there are several mandatory documents that you need to bring along to the district office on the day of ROM:
- Application form
- the form can either be downloaded from the website to be filled beforehand or to be filled at the district office later on
- it must be filled in full Korean regardless of your original name (eg. Tiffany//티파니)
- it must contained your witnesses's signatures
- Single status certificate (Original copy)-to be obtained from the country of origin
- Single status certificate (Translated copy)
- to be translated to full Korean and can be done individually without notarization
- Passport (Original copy)-Yours
- Passport (Original copy)-Spouse
